Baffling.

Love, sunshine, peace, the covenant with Noah, and victory? Hieroglyphics man. So three thousand B.C.

To add to this:

"Amazon and Microsoft and Google run “cloud” servers, which really means other people’s hardware, and want to store all your data for you."

In the larger view, as an engineer I have noticed that engineering , which I define as (4 words): "Solving human physical problems" is increasingly creating such problems. This is but one example, and many of them nowadays are oriented toward control of others. Thanks, Jim, for bringing out these various methods of the wicked so explicitly!

To add a little forgotten history ...

"... Constantine, who had established some important innovations in Roman culture. "

Yes, though few know that he was British, the son of Constantius and Helen of Colchester. While Boadicea had tried to drive the Romans from the island, his parents - especially his politically active mother, Helen - saw to it that they were driven out, and Constantine then pursued them through Germany, destroying the last of the Roman military opposition in his route to Rome.

The second Christian church after Jerusalem was not in Antioch or Rome but in Avalon, in what is now the Cornwall-Devon area of Britain, formerly known as Dumnonia, where from the earliest written record of Britain, tin mining was done. Joseph of Arimathea (yes, that Joseph) was the "metals baron" of the Roman empire, having the title of Nobilus Decurio - in charge of the mines. It is entirely possible that he took the young (missing-years) Jesus with him there on business trips. Because he had high standing in the Roman world, he could ask Pilate for the body of Jesus, which was clearly illegal under Roman law. (Hint: artisanpublishers.com specializes in books on forgotten (or ignored) history - history which does not fit in with the historiography constructed in the Middle Ages around the Greek and Roman writings.)

“And I saw what looked like a sea of glass mingled with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and its image and over the number of its name.”

What if this is referring to a fiber optic internet? Fiber optic is supposed to be unhackable. If it was a Linux based system then even better. With such a network we could filter out all of the filth but leverage the power of the internet for righteousness. We could also incorporate blockchain technology. It would be safe and secure. If we build it by word of mouth it could make the Camp of The Saints unassailable. Just a thought.
