💥💥💥Wow, a tour de force. Curious. Did you ever meet Willis B Mitchell Jr.? Worked for NASA in Houston for many years, on Gemini and Apollo. (engineer) He was my uncle.
I don't think so. I did attend a number of celebrations of the Apollo 11 landing. So we might have bumped elbows. My years in Houston were 1985 to 2005, inclusive. So if he attended the gala in July 1989 on the occasion of the 20th anniversary, or the 25th in 1994, we might have been in the same room. I did work with a fellow named William F. "Mitch" Mitchell on the LadyBase One project and at Altair Development in the 1990-92 timeframe, but I don't know if they are related, Mitchell being a big clan up in Scotland even now.
Yes the Mitchell clan is huge. They called my uncle Mitch too, but also my mom so.... Uncle Mitch was at NASA from around 1958 when it started until around 1990 or so, then stayed in Houston area till he died in 2013. I don't know if he was at your party but maybe. He liked to celebrate all things space related.
Nope. Don't own a car, thanks. Thank you for the suggestion about Oregon cryo. I think. Perhaps I should reiterate that I do indeed believe in the resurrection of the body, but I don't anticipate needing a bunch of cryonics people to "get the job done." God has been resurrecting bodies and walking with His friends since long before your society existed. Elijah smiles. Enoch laughs. God's will be done. Amen.
Me? I can refer you to my legal counsel if that would help. It's generally not a wise idea to comment on these topics in a public forum. The wheels of justice grind very slowly and turn people into a pulpy meat slurry, my friend. Bob Heinlein would like your profile better if you also borrowed the cover art of his hero, I think. God bless you. Amen.
Splendid. I am also happy to be an Earthling. I am grateful for the correction on this matter. So many ancient languages, so little time. -grin-
I well remember the novels of E. E. "Doc" Smith wherein he suggested that we would go through the galaxy with the handle "Tellurian" in place of Terran or Earthling. From "tellus" and also Latin. Those Romans got up to some shizz.
Well, I appreciate you very much. Today I learned a bit more, which is always a good thing. They say that you never stop learning until the day you die, and I'm confident that even thereafter we learn all kinds of new stuff. I never studied the Greek language, nor the related orthographies like Cyrillic. About all I know of writing Greek letters comes from mathematics classes. Then again the sum of my knowledge of Cyrillic writing is from Hercule Poirot in _Murder on the Orient Express_ by Agatha Christie. -smile-
Oh my goodness. What a fantastic experience that grade school must have been. Greek in grade school! (That might be a possible title for an autobiographical article about your time there.) 😊

I live near a Dark Sky Community I'm considering moving towards...
God bless you. God loves you and wants you to be happy. Amen.
Are you still living in your car? Oregon cryo will store your brain in aldehyde for $1k
