I would be interested to know which government the Unites States is incorporated under; it appears as though it is sovereign. Corporations are created as creatures of governments who maintain sovereignty over them. This is why true churches cannot be incorporated (through Title 26USC501(c) 3) because they are the creation of Jesus Christ, not the State.
A corporation is
1. Created by the State,
2. Sanctified by the words of the State (statute),
3. Empowered by the Legislature, and
4. Subject to the courts in all things.
A church is
1. Created by God,
2. Sanctified by the Word of God,
3. Empowered by God’s Spirit, and
4. Subject to Jesus Christ in all things.
Religious corporations are not churches.
As a corporation, the USA would be subject to some higher authority. It is certainly not Jesus Christ. Who could it be? The UK at this point in history appears to be subservient to Washington. Perhaps this has to do with the invisible layer of power above politics, involving the international bankers and those who control the money system? Yet they would not be in a legal position to incorporate. So who would be?
These are interesting questions and the answers are not entirely clear. Oxford university press offers a document from 2017 that concludes the United States is sovereign with respect to other states and a corporation with respect to various parties.
28 U.S. Code § 3002 - Definitions lists the very first definition: “United States” means— (A) a Federal corporation;
but it neglects to cite the incorporation document.
It is arguable that the "higher authority" to which the USA would be subject is "the people" but then you have the curious question that arises, "which people?"
It was this question that vexed Patrick Henry, who asked at the Virginia ratifying convention what right the framers of the constitution had to call themselves "we the people."
One of the interesting facts about our country is the widespread preference to incorporate in Delaware. Now, without having any certainty that the corporation of the United States as such is incorporated in Delaware, I do think there are some curious facts to note with respect to Delaware. It is the only state that did not unite its courts of law and equity so it has had "chancery" courts for all these many long years. Also, Delaware is not included in the treaty of Paris of AD 1783 as one of the colonies granted independence. There are twelve such colonies listed, and "Rhode island and Providence plantations" count as one, not two, in the ensuing list of states. Which suggests rather strongly that Delaware has always been a colony under charter by the empire of the Hannover usurpation and its heirs and assigns (e.g., the house of Windsor).
There have been a number of United States corporations in Delaware and a partial listing is found here: https://www.onepoliticalplaza.com/t-128411-1.html which is among a variety of interesting and arguably useful sites on the topic. One of the United States entities incorporated in Delaware did so as a religious non-profit which is amusing on a number of levels.
Case precedent on the topic includes the opinion of justice Marshall cited here: The United States of America are a corporation endowed with the capacity to sue and be sued, to convey and receive property. 1 Marsh. Dec. 177, 181.
Texas v. White is a useful case that reached the supreme court. It might be a good topic for another day.
All of the words in this reply may be summarised as, "I don't know."
addressing " For several years now, certain groups and websites like this one have advocated an argument that the "federal" government was created as a municipal corporation via an act of February 21, 1871."
See also "XXIV. 28 U.S.C. § 3002 (15)(A)" on the same webpage for more on "U.S. is corp".
(B) an agency, department, commission, board, or other entity
of the United States; or
(C) an instrumentality of the United States.
Many contend that the above quote, a part of the Federal Debt Collection Procedures Act, means "the United States is a corporation." I must state that this is an erroneous construction of this particular law.
The Federal Debt Collection Procedures Act, 104 Stat. 4933, applies to the entirety of the United States government. Virtually everyone knows that the federal government has lots of agencies. It also has lots of departments, commissions, boards and instrumentalities, including federal corporations. In the last 100 years, Congress has created lots of corporations and some that still exist today are:
Tennessee Valley Authority
Commodity Credit Corporation
Export-Import Bank
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation
National Railroad Passenger Corporation (AMTRAK)
Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation
United States African Development Foundation (USADF)
One that no longer exists is the Resolution Trust Corporation.
The FDCPA simply regulates the collection activities of all federal agencies, departments, commissions, boards and instrumentalities, including the above federal corporations. Rather than repeatedly state in this 30+ page act that all "federal agencies, departments, commissions, boards and instrumentalities, including federal corporations" shall do certain things, all these entities are, for purposes of this particular act, encompassed within the words, "United States." Wherever the words "United States" appears in this law regulating these federal collection activities, it means all these various entities, including "Federal corporations".

This might clarify 28 U.S.C. § 3002 (15)(A) but the original question still remains unanswered if it is to be asserted that the U.S. is a corporation. As far as I can tell, it is not incorporated under any higher authority (than maybe "We the people".)
It's an interesting set of information. I don't think it is possible for anyone to be comprehensive about what is and is not true of "the United States of America" as an entity describing a national "government" since we are aware of agencies that exist to hide things from us. If you were in the position that the Ebelings were in Moscow in 1993 or so after the fall of the Soviet union, but at some day and year in the future after "the fall" of the tyranny in the District of Corruption, you might be able to go through all the documents and data drives (including the new solid state drives! petabytes for real) and come to some sort of understanding about what sort of thing or things "the United States of America" is in actual fact, including whether there is, as seems evident from documents going all the way back to 1787, some subterfuge about "constitution of" and "constitution for" and a lot of lies, fraud, and deceit, brazen brazen deceit, as well as nonsense, we could all have a sigh of relief. So if you are pounding out these replies expecting me to stipulate anything about my rather limited reference in the original post about the existence of a corporation of the United States, no can do friend.
It is definitely true that the usurper in England chartered some colonies. You may be interested in some of those charters, such as the one for the Massachusetts bay colony and the one for Virginia colony and so forth. Certainly a review of the charter for William Penn's province of Pennsylvania and for "the Three Lower Counties on the Delaware that were a part of the larger Province of Pennsylvania" might be informative about what "the state of Delaware" actually is, today.
I appreciate your enthusiasm for the project, but I don't feel a deep commitment to the matter. Whether there is a corporation or a set of corporations or a crown colony or a set of crown colonies or just a whole lot of nonsense, the way things have worked since about 1882 is that the usurper in England tells the politicians in the District of Corruption what to do and they do those things. Yeah, that may not be "de jure" a captive state, but it appears to be "de facto" a puppet of the usurper. It isn't the focus of my hypothesis that there is some specific Becraft-agreeable "corporation" with a charter to which one might point. My hypothesis is that when the advisers to the feeble minded thing on the throne say for that usurper to tell DC politicians and bureau rats "jump" the demon worshippers in the District say "how high" on the way up and keep bouncing until they get it done.
There is ample evidence of a corporation of the United States, and rather a lot more evidence of the published testaments of Cecil Rhodes proposing earnestly to engage in a conspiracy - he uses that exact term - to bring all English speaking people including all Americans under crown authority and to overwhelm all the rest of the world into subjugation, because Rhodes was, in my opinion, a snivelling, cavilling, weak, slavish jerk, who hated the notion of free people because he hated God.
This was a great read, thought-provoking read. Thank you for the heads-up on notes. I am also always ecstatic to see one of my favorite artists, the inimitable Michael Whelan, show up "in the wild," as he did the beautiful cover featured here for "The Foundation Trilogy" (along with some of my favorites like "The Martian Chronicles" and several H.P.L. anthologies).
Thank you for your kind words, for reading my stuff, and for the restack, upon which I’ve commented just now. Yes, there are few really talented artists in the superrealistic science fiction art community and Michael is among the very finest.

(B) an agency, department, commission, board, or other entity
of the United States; or
