Thanks for writing up the tribute to Courtney, and reporting on some of his achievements.
He certainly left a big footprint.
Could you (or anybody) please point me to a regular obituary for him, that would have some of the personal details that an obituary usually carries? (These details would include the names of his parents, when and where he was born, who predeceased him, who survived him, and of course notable things about him. In Courtney's case, we have a picture of some of his notable work in his intellectual and business and i guess even political life, but nothing personal.)
As far as I have been able to discover, there is not, at this time, any obituary of the regular sort that you seek. I myself never met his parents and do not know their names. Courtney may have mentioned his dad's name, at one point, while we were in Las Vegas at the storage unit where his dad's paintings are kept. I didn't make note of it. I do have a record in my phone of his date of birth, including year, but not his place of birth. I'm reluctant to post that information anywhere without the prior written consent of his family. There are unscrupulous persons who would abuse that information if they knew it. I do not have the family's permission to report on them, either. From the opening paragraph you can see that he is survived by a son. Further more deponent sayeth nought.
According to someone close to him, he was not current with his fees. Also, Dubai has not, to my knowledge, released his body or personal effects to his family. Based on what was shared with me, Courtney did not get frozen.
I have no information on this topic. I do know that he was in Dubai, and I have limited information on the handling of deceased persons in Dubai. His family would have more information but I have not been able to get in touch with his family yet. Some of us are discussing having a memorial service for Courtney. Please let me know if that would be of interest to you.
My one and only chat with Courtney was a year ago....a marathon session wherein we covered a lot of ground and I got the benefit of his deep finance experience/insights. A good man.
Thank you Sean. God bless you my friend. He was a finance genius. Spent the morning devastated, and talking to clients and connexions who will be missing him too. Sadness envelops.
He will be missed.

Thanks Jim for checking.
Traditionally someone in the family will write up something, and pay a local newspaper to run it. These days it can also appear on legacy.com.
In any event, it is good that you are trying to protect the interests of Courtney's family, and i'm sure he would have appreciated it.
However, if later somebody does write an obit, please post a link, and thanks so much!
I get a chance to meet and work with him here in dubai. Condolence to courtney
He was at one time a cryonicist... Did he get frozen?
